nice and polite staffs, very close to the pier and good view of the sea
seaside is a bit noisy at night.Only 4 TV channels in the room and free internet access needs to go to the ground floor to use, this can be improved

Having stayed in two rooms over different periods, it would be nice if the clocks worked. Also no Digital TV restricted to only 4 stations.

Regarding the hotel, nothing apart from the position on the seafront.
Everything, apart from the position on the seafront.

The location by the pier was good except at night when local youth and police were noisy and kept us awake. Found nice Italian restaurant for evening meal.
Tv could not be viewed from the bed. Room was over priced and basic for the charge of £120.

Very friendly and helpful staff. And a real effort to make a creaky old seaside hotel as comfortable as possible.
'Wet room' type bathroom but I know it's a problem with limited space.

Excellent value for money I was expecting and happy to accept lower standards fro the price I paid. Well recommended.
Ideally I was lookinjg for closer to the theatres. But never mind.

It was what I expected from a 100 year old hotel at a British resort.
When I tried to book , your site said " last room available " but when we arrived it was obvious the hotel was far from full , 13 residents on Saturday night !! . Bit of a con I think.

The location was superb, right opposite the Pier and close to shops, bars, restaurants. The room was overlooking the beach and had a great view. We had everything we needed in the room.
We came back to the hotel on the Saturday night about 10.45 pm and asked if we could have a drink at the bar. The barmaid was just closing up but she did give us one drink before closing. We think that a hotel bar on a Saturday night could stay open a bit later than this.

When visiting Eastbourne, the Claremont Lions is one of the best spots you can sleep as far as location. It is located straight across the pier, and very close to shops. Location being a big plus, the hotel facilities are poor and we do not believe is should be rated 2 stars, far sooner 1 or 2.
